Why Loggerhead Marketing?

Loggerhead MarketingAs a sales person, I get asked a lot of questions.  Usually these questions pertain to marketing, advertising or websites.  But since we started Loggerhead Marketing, nearly everyone I meet asks me why we chose Loggerhead Marketing as our name, and I know that Matthew, Cale and Missy have all been asked the same question.  The short answer is that we can draw a number of comparisons between ourselves and the Loggerhead turtle.

Loggerhead turtles start their lives by being one of more than 100 hatchlings to emerge from the sand all at once.  In the early stages of their life, they’re most vulnerable to predators and only a small percentage will make it to adulthood.  As a website development company, we see the hundreds of competitors out there – the one man shops, the large corporations, and the companies who, like us, are somewhere in the middle.  In our early years, we expect to be challenged and tested by our clients and our competitors, and we’re determined to be one of the few who make it to the next stage.

Loggerhead Conference RoomTurtles are, in our opinion, one of nature’s most beautiful creatures.  The patterns in their shells are amazing works of art, which ironically, serve a great purpose.  Our websites can be viewed the same way, in that they are great works of art that serve a purpose.  Loggerheads are graceful creatures that fly through the sea, seemingly effortlessly, and we strive to make the process of purchasing and developing a website effortless for our clients.

As a company, we hope that we are well respected by our peers and our clients alike.  We never want to be a company that people have negative associations with, and we strive to over deliver with every project that we’re hired to complete.  Loggerhead turtles are shown the same respect by marine life, and rarely are turtles ever looked at in a negative manner.

Many Loggerhead turtles enjoy life for more than 50 years, and turtles are animals that have inhabited the earth for millions of years.  Turtles stand the test of time, and we fully expect Loggerhead Marketing to do the same.
